Ibn al-Jazzār, Ibn al-Jazzār on fevers: a critical edition of Zād al-musāfir wa-qūt al-ḥāḍir (Provisions for the traveller and the nourishment for the sedentary), bk. 7, chs. 1-6, the original Arabic text with an English translation, introduction and commentary by Gerrit Bos, Nova York - Londres, Kegan Paul Internatonal (Sir Henry Wellcome Asian Series), 2000, v + 217 pp.

Resum
This is the first critical edition and translation of the first Islamic medical work on fevers. Zad almusafir is perhaps the most influential handbook in the history of medical science, and Gerrit Bos's provides invaluable insight into the medical theory of Book Seven.
