- Resum
- The aim of this paper is to study details of a medical translation from Latin to Catalan, which shows the complication of the transmission process of a vernacular translation. The example we consider here, the Catalan translation of Regimen sanitatis ad regem Aragonum by Arnau de Vilanova, with numerous amendments that affect the content and structure of the work during the transmission process, raises the working methods of medieval translators and/or medieval copyists. This case, considered together with other well-known cases, can help study the complex phenomenon of translations.
