- Resum
- It was originally established in 1974 as part of a larger project, the computer-based Dictionary of the Old Spanish Language, at the Medieval Spanish Seminary of the University of Wisconsin. The purpose of BOOST was to aid in the selection of the corpus upon which that dictionary was to be based; and the first two editions (1975, 1977), produced in-house by John Nitti, Jean Gilkison, and Anthony Cárdenas, focussed almost exclusively on that purpose.
